Permission to develop a new sporting infrastructure on Land at Carrigrohane Road, Cork. The development consists of the following; (A) Construction of one full-size artificial sports pitch with ancillary training areas, (B) Construction of one full-size natural grass pitch, together with storm drainage for both pitches draining to the Maglin River and ancillary floodlighting to both pitches and training areas (12 no. 15.2m high lighting columns), irrigation systems, car parking, landscaping, ball stopping nets, spectator railing, dugouts, storage shed (circa 9m x 6m x 3.5m high), fencing and associated site works. (C) Upgrade works to the existing car park, consisting of resurfacing, drainage, lighting and for the construction of a pedestrian access footpath from the public footpath adjacent to the Carrigrohane Road to the sporting infrastructure. (D) Construction of a gated pedestrian/cyclist access point from the existing walkway/cycle way located to the south of the development to the sporting infrastructure.
