Permission for (i) Introduction of a vegetated swale (ditch) in semi-improved grassland field adjacent to the Owenanare River; (ii) Construction of a wetland scrape (shallow pond); (iii) Construction low mounds within the river floodplain; and (iv) Placement of one or more trees with root plates intact within the river channel, all works which are aimed at improving water quality and biodiversity. The proposed development includes associated temporary development works including a temporary compound area and temporary access which will be in use for the duration of the works. A Natura Impact Statement will be submitted to the Planning Authority with the application.
